This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to establish relationships, clarify needs, and then work collaboratively with people who are living with mental health issues.
This unit applies to support workers in contexts outside the mental health sector, but who come into contact with people with mental health issues. The services and support provided are not mental health specific.
The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice

Course Delivery : Online, Blended Learning (Face to face with trainer once a week)

Unique Student Identifier (USI)
A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required for Participants undertaking nationally recognized training (qualifications, accredited courses, skill sets and units of competency) unless exempt.
This includes international Participants studying in Australia. If you don't have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment.
The Australian Government through training.gov.au lists this as an appropriate qualification for the following occupations:

o Assistant Community Services Worker
