馮陳念恩博士 (PhD, MTh, MN, RN, MA, BA) 最近受聘任ACDCS,英粵語授課,專為澳洲華人學生而設。最初,她将与 Sharon Kerr 博士一起作为导师进行教学 mentor.

馮博士具備四十年跨領域多樣化的專業經驗:包括護士、長者護理行政管理及諮詢工作,兼顧臨床及高等教育教學。在護理長者行業中,她致力於全人關顧,倡導滿足長者生理、心理、社群、情緒和精神上整體的需要。馮博士不久前以行政總裁身份幫助建立『展望家居全人服務』,現任該機構的首席執行理事,目標是專以澳洲華人通用的語言來關顧他們。馮博士熱衷於培訓更多華語護老人員,滿足與日俱增的澳洲華人安老服務需求。

 

馮博士以護士專業開展她的護老行業,由於對護理長者的熱誠,她追求額外的老年學培訓,終於在坎伯蘭健康科學學院 (Cumberland College of Health Sciences) 及澳大利亞天主教大學 (Australian Catholic University) 統籌及任教老年學/長者護理課程。

 

馮博士認識到護老行業為澳洲華人提供服務的職能上有所需求,為謀求更滿足社群的需要,她曾經建立並管理幾間專為澳洲華人服務的養老院。因此馮博士曾獲提名角逐專業發展類別中有關長者護理的傑出獎項。

 

此外,馮博士有濃厚的神學熱忱。她曾在不同的基督教機構中廣泛參與神學教育及教牧關顧事工。馮博士擁有神學碩士學位,並在比奥拉大學 (Biola University) 獲得博士學位,從中專門研究問題導向學習 (problem-based learning) 在神學教育中的應用。

 

                                                                                                         

Dr. Nancy Fung (PhD, MTh, MN, RN, MA, BA) was recently hired by ACDCS to teach in English and Cantonese, specially designed for Australian Chinese students. Initially, she will teach with Dr. Sharon Kerr as a mentor

Nancy brings a diverse array of experience to this role. Her 40-year career spans across varied fields including nursing, aged care management/consulting, and teaching in both clinical and tertiary settings. She has a particular interest in providing and advocating for holistic care in the aged care sector, catering to the physical, psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of older people. Nancy recently helped establish Hope Holistic Care as an at-home aged care service, as CEO, now COO, particularly focused on caring for Chinese Australians in their language of choice. She is passionate about training more aged care workers with Chinese linguistic skills, in order to better serve the growing demand for aged care of Chinese Australians.

 

Nancy began her career as a nurse in the aged care sector. Her passion for aged care saw her pursue addition training in gerontology, including eventually co-ordinating and lecturing in gerontology/geriatric nursing courses at both Cumberland College of Health Sciences and Australian Catholic University.

 

Nancy recognised a gap in the aged care sector’s ability to care for Chinese Australians and so sought to better cater to the diverse needs of this demographic. As such, she helped establish and manage several residential aged care homes tailored to this demographic. Nancy was nominated for Excellence in Aged Care in the category of Professional Development.

 

In addition, Nancy also has a deep passion for theology. She has been extensive ly involved in education and pastoral care through various Christian organisations. Nancy is qualified with Master of Theology and completed her PhD through Biola University, focusing on the use of problem-based learning in theological education.
